Tony & Beth Parks

Tony and Beth Parkes have over 90 years of combined experience getting groups of all sizes, ages, and abilities to square dance easily and painlessly. They learned from many of the great callers of past generations, and their driving passion is to keep the tradition alive. While they enjoy calling for experienced dancers, they get some of their deepest satisfaction from introducing people to the joys of music and dance for the first time.
Square dancing is an ideal way to bring people together. Strangers quickly become friends while moving to inspiring music from the past 200 years. Dozens of couples have had Tony or Beth at their wedding receptions; families have chosen square dancing for anniversaries and milestone birthdays. It’s the perfect icebreaker for a company party or the opening night of a convention.

Every event with Tony or Beth calling is tailored to the needs of the group: ages, number of people, physical ability, energy level, couple/single status. Most dances in their repertoire are gender-neutral; male/female couples or 50/50 gender balance is never required. All their dances can be learned in a minute or two.
With Tony or Beth at the mic, you can relax knowing that the event is in professional hands. They can take charge of the entire program or share it with a DJ or other entertainers. They furnish everything needed for a successful party: complete instruction, the best in live or recorded music, and a PA system that will blanket the room with sound without blasting the folks in front.
Tony and Beth’s client list includes Boston College, several schools at Harvard University, Apple Computer, Museum of Science, and dozens of other colleges, corporations, and nonprofits – as well as a multitude of families, schools, churches, temples, and Girl Scout troops.
